Aydın Teker's aKabı has been acclaimed in many cities in Europe - Berlin, Paris, Lisbon, Glasgow, Geneva and Utrecht. And at last in its city of origin, Istanbul!
Although aKabı contains some excellent solos, it is not conceived as such, and can not be included in the main program of this year's festival, which will investigate the concept of "solo". However, we take it more as a duty to bring this piece to Istanbul audience, for the first time.
